To provide reasonable computer service and customer education for a reasonable price.
I perform computer and network consulting for small business and individuals. With over 30 years of computer experience, my abilities and talents have been utilized in a number of fields: aerospace, property management, petroleum distribution, office equipment, pyrotechnics manufacturing and internet technical support, to name a few. I have held many roles during my career as a Director, Supervisor, System Administrator, Operator, Programmer, Accountant, or Support Technician, and often assisted in other areas outside of my job.
Sometimes, PC work is like being a detective. Once, in one of my troubleshooting efforts, I recovered over 1400 files (before they became permanently irretrievable) which were deleted by a virus 24 hours earlier. I do my best to try and and help avert problems before they occur, and educate people on items to look for to make things easier.
I have worked exclusively with DOS, Windows 3.1, 95, 98, ME, NT, XP, Vista, 7, plus additional experience on Linux, Apple and Novell networking. My first computer was a Radio Shack Color Computer, which I used until I migrated to PCs; but have also worked in many large-scale mainframe computing environments over the years.
As for knowledge of applications, I am familiar with several versions of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Quicken and QuickBooks Pro, Norton Utilities, WordPerfect, Norton's Ghost, plus many various databases, graphics, utility and shareware programs over the last 20 years. Also familiar with various accounting/business, bank transfer, and other proprietary programs.
If I don't know the answer to your particular problem, I will try to help you figure it out in the best way possible.
